Steven F. Mattoon is the senior partner at Mattoon, Martens & Strommen and has been practicing law in Nebraska since 1976. Widely regarded as one of Nebraska's leading oil and gas attorneys, Steve has built a distinguished practice concentrated in oil and gas law, real estate, probate, estate planning, and commercial development, serving clients across western Nebraska and throughout the region for nearly five decades.

Over the course of his career, Steve has served as a Director and General Counsel for the Nebraska Independent Oil and Gas Association (NIOGA), and as a Director and Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. He has also been a long-standing member of the Nebraska State Bar Association House of Delegates for more than twenty years and served on the Nebraska Bar Commission from 2002 to 2008.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska and was selected to the Order of the Barristers while attending law school. Before entering private practice, he served as the Junior Round Moot Court Supervisor at the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Kendra A. Strommen is an attorney and managing partner with the Law Offices of Mattoon, Martens & Strommen in Sidney, Nebraska, where she has practiced since 2015. With more than fifteen years of legal experience, Kendra has built a diverse practice concentrated in municipal law, public power, oil and gas, real estate, corporate governance, and estate planning.

Kendra serves as primary legal counsel for numerous public and private entities across western Nebraska, including municipalities, public power districts, and the Nebraska Inland Port Authority. She regularly handles oil and gas title work, mineral litigation, and complex real estate transactions, and is a licensed abstractor in the state of Nebraska.

Kendra earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Beyond her legal practice, Kendra is actively involved in her community, serving as a board member, secretary, and legal counsel for the Sidney Public Schools Education Foundation and as President of P.E.O. Chapter BO in Sidney. Her career reflects a commitment to helping rural communities, public entities, and private landowners navigate legal challenges with clarity, precision, and long-term vision.

Partner and Attorney Tanya M. Nodlinski Martens focuses her practice on real estate, estate planning, probate, and juvenile law. She also practices oil and gas law, representing clients before the Nebraska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and advising on a variety of energy-related matters, including mineral and title research, title opinions, and contract negotiations.

Tanya earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Prior to law school, she served as a Fulbright educator in South Korea, an experience that broadened her global perspective and strengthened her understanding of public service.

Her legal and legislative background is diverse, including experience in general litigation, trial and appellate practice, and public policy. Tanya has served on the staff of multiple members of the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature and worked as a law clerk for a registered lobbyist during legislative sessions. She also served as an intern with the Global Innovation and Strategy Center in Omaha and as a research assistant at the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Tanya is a graduate of the Nebraska State Bar Association Leadership Academy and remains an active member of the Nebraska State Bar Association.

Jonathon T. Stellar is an Associate Attorney practicing in Nebraska since 2012. He has dedicated a legal career to serving clients with integrity, professionalism, and results-driven advocacy. Beginning as a prosecutor, Jonathon developed extensive courtroom experience handling a wide range of criminal matters, refining strong litigation, negotiation, and trial skills.

Building on that foundation, Jonathon expanded into private practice, representing individuals and businesses in contract matters, family law, divorce, and civil litigation. With a practical, client-focused approach, he works diligently to protect clients' interests, resolve disputes efficiently, and provide clear legal guidance through complex legal issues.

Jonathon graduated from American University in the District of Columbia with a bachelor's degree in international relations and earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University's School of Law in Hempstead, New York.
