Over the course of his career, Steve has served as a Director and General Counsel for the Nebraska Independent Oil and Gas Association (NIOGA), and as a Director and Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. He has also been a long-standing member of the Nebraska State Bar Association House of Delegates for more than twenty years and served on the Nebraska Bar Commission from 2002 to 2008.
Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska and was selected to the Order of the Barristers while attending law school. Before entering private practice, he served as the Junior Round Moot Court Supervisor at the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Kendra A. Strommen is an attorney and managing partner with the Law Offices of Mattoon, Martens & Strommen in Sidney, Nebraska, where she has practiced since 2015. With more than fifteen years of legal experience, Kendra has built a diverse practice concentrated in municipal law, public power, oil and gas, real estate, corporate governance, and estate planning.

Tanya earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Prior to law school, she served as a Fulbright educator in South Korea, an experience that broadened her global perspective and strengthened her understanding of public service.
Her legal and legislative background is diverse, including experience in general litigation, trial and appellate practice, and public policy. Tanya has served on the staff of multiple members of the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature and worked as a law clerk for a registered lobbyist during legislative sessions. She also served as an intern with the Global Innovation and Strategy Center in Omaha and as a research assistant at the University of Nebraska College of Law.
